As a mom, I find that styling my hair gets put on the bottom of the list each day. Mostly because it takes so long to do it. I have natural curly hair and I straighten my hair 99% of the time. It can be time consuming if you don’t have a good flat iron. I’ve always invested money into my flat irons, simply because it’s something I use every day and I want a good product that will last a long time.


About a year ago a purchased what I thought to be one of the best flat irons out there….a CHI. But, I can honestly say that I hate it. It doesn’t get as hot as I would like, it pulls my hair when straightening, and it leaves my hair a little frizzy. I had been looking for a new one for quite some time, when I got the opportunity to review a Barbar Flat Iron. I think this has to be my most favorite review ever! I have been using the Barbar 2500 Ceramic Ionic 1” Flat Iron for about 3 weeks. I have to say it has been awesome!

This flat iron has tons of features, but here are a few of my favorites:

o Digital LCD Temperature Control Display

o 360° Swivel Cord

Now, my hair is never frizzy and it doesn’t pull at all. It leaves my hair very smooth and shiny! You can straighten your hair when it’s wet or dry with this flat iron! So, if I’m in a hurry I can still get the straight look without having to dry it first! I can’t say enough good things about this awesome hair tool! The only negative thing I could think of is that the on/off button is where I hold the straightener and sometimes I turn it off by accident! But, that’s so minor it’s almost not worth mentioning, but I do like to give honest opinions!

    I would buy the flat iron for my 11 year old daughter. poor child is trying to learn how to do her extremely curl hair and wishes for straight but the flat iron we currently use doesnt get it that straight and it would be great for her to be able to use something right out of the shower to save her time.
