Love Out Loud: Giving back to others.

As the Holidays are getting closer, I would like to take some time to think about those who are less fortunate. This is a local need, but I know there are many needs around the world.
I would love to ask for your support in donating to those in need in the Winston-Salem, NC area. If you don't live in this area, I would encourage you to seek out shelters or food pantries that are in need. Our church has initiated a city wide calling for everyone to aid in Love Out Loud.
Love Out Loud is 30 days of support to those in need or in crisis. There are over 30 ways for you to help those in need in our community. God has blessed us with so many things and this is a great opportunity to share those blessings with others.
There are six categories in which you can choose to volunteer or contribute to:
  • Hungry & Thirsty
  • Stranger
  • Naked & Shivering
  • Sick
  • In Prison
  • In Need
Just click on each date and it will give you the details and what they are in need of.

One of the ways that I thought we as couponers could help...is giving to the Crisis Control Ministry.

For all of you seasoned couponers check your stockpile and see what you have too much of.  They are in great need of toiletry and personal items. If your like me, I have a ton of dish soap, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies. If we all took even half a dozen items, just think of the impact we could make! Even if you don't have monetary means to help, you can volunteer to take food to those that won't have a Thanksgiving meal.

If you want to aid in this project, there are several ways to do so:
  1. Reply to this post and I will get you more information
  2. Click here to check out The City, you can there choose which day you would like to volunteer or donate. You can also post to that site letting them know.
  3. You can drop off your items every Sunday in the West Foyer of WS First or you can go by during the week during normal business hours. Located at 3730 University Parkway Winston-Salem, NC.
  4. You can reply to this post or email me directly and I will pick up your items and drop them off for you!
I will be posting some freebies later so that you can have some ideas of ways to give! Thank you.

  1. Thank you! Thank you!! I was thinking the same thing...why just keep stockpiling everything, when we can help people out who actually need this stuff we get for free!
